Olive oil,what kind should you take a spoon full of everyday to help your heart?would any olive oil work?

In order to truly gain the historically famous benefits of consuming olive oil over other varieties, a few requirements must be met by the oil itself.

Many will say simply ';extra virgin olive oil.';

Beyond it being extra virgin, it must also be:

A.) Unfiltered

B.) First cold pressed. Not just cold pressed but FIRST cold pressed.

If these two bits of criteria are not met then the oil is no better for you than any other olive oil or, for that matter, canola oil.

Extra virgin will always taste richer and cleaner, but if it's not first cold pressed and unfiltered, it's not that great for you. Unfortunately, it costs substantially more for the good stuff as it's made in smaller batches and much less of it makes it to the US market.
