Does Olive Oil go bad after a few years?

I've had this bottle of Olive oil for about 10 years now. is it safe to useDoes Olive Oil go bad after a few years?
Here in Spain, we oil producers bottle oil in plastic 5 litre bottles.

As oil is use the bottle can be squeezed to excule air and so prolong the life of the oil. I have oil that is now six years old and it is fine.

Should you buy olive oil in a glass bottle, to exclude the air try dropping a few marbles into the bottle till the oil reaches the top. Simple.Does Olive Oil go bad after a few years?
No, all oils oxidize and get rancid. Shelf life is a year or less, depending how you store it. Fridge storage extends and is best if you don't use it often...rather an expensive extravagance and waste of good oil...use it. It is heart healthier!
Yes it can go bad, especially after that long. I would taste it though. You will know as soon as you taste it if it is OK. A little taste will not hurt you if it is bad. It just wont taste very good.
It's rancid by now. Most olive oil stays good in a dark pantry for up to 6 months. It's time to toss out what you've got and replace it.

10 years is too long even under the best storage conditions. I suspect it is rancid and probably has been rancid for 7 years. Why ruin good ingredients with bad olive oil. Toss it and replace with fresh
it's probably ';safe';, but probably tastes like crap. Oil eventually goes rancid. Pitch it and buy some new. In a very small bottle.
Sometimes it can go rancid, it changes color ( gets darker ) and has a bad odor. It should be stored in a cool dark place to keep longer.
I wouldn't use it. Not worth the risk.
