Whats the difference between extra virgin olive oil and regular olive oil?

Regular olive oil is the best for cooking because it takes a hig heat without burning. Extra virgin does not take a high heat but adds a wonderful flavor in salad dressings or when drizzled over cooked vegetables.Whats the difference between extra virgin olive oil and regular olive oil?
Extra virgin is from the first pressing and is the finest and all the others aare from subsequent pressings and of lower grade and quality but still very good though.Whats the difference between extra virgin olive oil and regular olive oil?
Extra virgin is the first oil pressed out of the olives. Therefore, it'sa the purest.
Extra virgin olive oil has stronger taste (first press), usually use for salad dressing. Whereas regular olive oil usually use for cooking.
EVOO (as Rachel Ray would say) is the purest form, it also has a low acidity less thank 1%. Virgin olive oil has less than 2% acidity. These are standards from the International Olive Oil Council.
one is purer the the other
extra virgin is the first pressing of the olive ,any otherwill not be so good
The only difference is the taste. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is supposed to be frutier in taste, and therefore, better for salad dressings. Olive oil is supposed to be slightly more heavy in taste, and is better for cooking.
